KMITL PREPARED THE SOCIAL RESEARCH INNOVATIONS TO BE READILY PRESENTED ON THE SOUTHERN VISITING OF THAILAND CABINET

To present the reinforcement of the success of the educational sector to develop the community with the goal of Chumphon Campus to be the Institute of agricultural technology, food, and energy of the Southern Region in 2021.

The Thailand Cabinet visited Chumphon Campus of KMITL to meet the success of the research and the marine Smart Crab Bank 4.0, for blue swimming crab, managed by the innovative tool and preside the activity of releasing 10 million young crabs to restore the fruitfulness of the sea.

Chumphon, August 21, 2018 - King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang Chumphon Campus, welcomed Prime Minister Prayut Chan-Ocha and the Cabinet on the roaming meeting of the Cabinet along the Southern sites of Thailand.

To the Cabinet, the presentation of the progress and success of the establishment of the CMKL University including with the application of the advances in research and innovation, such as the perfect smart farm integrated with modern management and application of high-precision integrated innovation, deep diving and marine safety, drones for agriculture, smart goat farm, Smart Data Center, and smart blue swimming Crab 4.0 which uses water management technology and automatic crab nursery. Additionally, the Cabinet joined the activity of releasing of more than 10 million young crabs into the sea and also enjoyed the community activities to have development of spatial quality of life in all dimensions beneficial for supporting of the national industries both that of qualitative or S-Curve and modern one for the future or New S-Curve to enhance the sustainable quality of life for the people, and to prepare the development of the country to be ready of the smart state. Qualitatively, the Campus has the policy to develop the institution to be the top educational institution in the South focusing on 4 key areas of development: agriculture, technology, food, and of energy in the year 2021. The event was recently held at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang Chumphon Campus, Patew District, Chumphon Province. 

Prof. Dr. Suchatvee Suwansawat, the KMITL&rsquo's President, said that Chumphon was honored to be the host of The Southern Cabinet Meeting at Chumphon presided by Gen. Prayut Chan-Ocha, Prime Minister together with the Cabinet. The Campus was high ready and potential and the center of the south able to be Connected to many other southern provinces. On such occasion, Chumphon has presented the project and successful prototype development especially in the development and extension of agricultural practices on the research of food, and alternative energy and also presented social activities and cooperation to raise the standard of living for people in the community.

The presented samples could be;

* The Smart Farm, most perfect one of the nation: Smart Farm around the Campus and Agriculture Center, food, energy were the most perfect concrete pattern perfect of management design and innovative application and perfect agricultural technology connected with database analyzing the plantation factors to raise the agricultural standard effectively. 

* The Smart Crab Bank 4.0, for blue swimming crab :  The success of the expansion and conservation of the blue swimming crabs and main economic sea animals around the areas could come from the cooperation of the people of Chumphon Campus,  private sectors, and coastal fisheries around Choomko and Patew  using fisheries knowledge, technology, and innovation on the actions. 

The projects presented could be only one of Chumphon 's successes of development to be the center for research on innovation and technology geared to the geography of the south. The Campus recognized the importance of developing the foundation to be ready for accommodation to the changes of the era and to the need for the new industry trend. The Campus has set the goal to become the top educational institute in the South to focus on 4 key areas of development: agricultural, food, energy, and technology in 2021.
