King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang’s Announcement Regarding the Recruitment of Candidates for the Institution

KMITL would like to recruit qualified staff for both academic and academic support positions. There are 15 positions available. 

1. Applicants must meet all requirements according to the 2016 regulations

1.1 General qualifications

Applicants must:

(1)  be over 18 years old;

(2)  have a good command of English or Japanese or Chinese.

1.2 Prohibition

Applicants must NOT:

(1)  be a politician;

(2)  be certified as mentally incompetent or incapacitated or  suffer from tuberculosis, drug addiction, alcoholism or any serious contagious disease;

(3)  have been suspended from any government agency;

(4)  have been found guilty of immoral or unethical behaviour under any prior position of employment;

(5)  be an official of any political party;

(6)  be bankrupt;

(7)  have been imprisoned;

(8)  have been dismissed from any state enterprise agency, public organizations or other state agency;

(9)  have been dismissed from any previous position of employment due to a disciplinary infraction;

(10) have ever been found guilty of cheating in an admissions test to become a public official;

(11) have taken early retirement from KMITL.

KMITL’s HRM office reserves the right to wave requirements under 1.1 (1) in the event of institutional necessity. Persons who do not comply with requirement 1.2 (1) are eligible to be selected but may only commence employment upon termination of any political position.

2. Specific criteria required for application

Academic Positions

Applicants for the position of lecturer must:

-  hold a Doctoral or a Master’s degree

Preferred fields of study include:

-  Medicine, Science, Engineering or some related discipline

- Linguistics, Liberal Arts (especially English, Japanese or Chinese), Business Management, Education or some related discipline

-  Other fields may also be appreciated.

Academic Support

Applicants must:

-  hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree. 

3. Documentation required for application

          3.1 Copies of diploma(s) or certificate(s) that have been approved by a university and any document provided

          3.2 Copies of the transcript, one for each degree (with officially certified)

          3.3 A copy of Passport (with officially certified)

       3.4 One photograph (1" x 2") taken no more than 6 months prior to application (there should be nothing covering the applicants face such as dark sunglasses)

4. Admission Schedule

4.1 Applications are open from now until July 20, 2018, at the Human Resource Management Office, President’s Building, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). And by Email: hr@kmitl.ac.th (please write email subject “Job application KMITL and your name")

4.2 A list of eligible candidates will be published on July 24, 2018

4.3 Interviews (Notification will follow)

4.4 Job start date is August 2018

Those who have successfully completed the application process will be asked to visit the Mental Health Institute for testing and fingerprinting. In the event that any candidate is found to be mentally incompetent or incapacitated; is diagnosed as suffering from some ailment that may render them unable to perform their work duties effectively or is found to have a previously undisclosed criminal record, the Institute would consider such person as terminated effective from the date of such notice.

5. Compensation and Welfare

5.1  Compensation

Academic  Lecturer position

• Master's degree Start 27,300 baht/month
• Doctoral degree Start 32,760 baht/month

Other compensation

-    Cost of living and accommodation cost  35,000 baht/month

Academic Support

• Bachelor's degree Start   20,280 baht/month
• Master's degree Start   23,660 baht/month

Other compensation

• Cost of living and accommodation cost does not exceed 35,000 baht/month (base on performance)

5.2  Welfare

6. Severance pay

 Employees of the Institute are eligible for compensation in case of dismissal, retirement or bereavement occurring during employment at the Institute as follows:

• Employees who have worked less than 1 year at the Institute are eligible for 3 times their previous month's salary.
• Employees who have worked over 1 year but less than 3 years at the Institute are eligible for 6 times their previous month's salary
• Employees who have worked over 3 years but less than 6 years at the Institute are eligible for 9 times their previous month's salary
• Employees who have worked over 6 years but less than10 years at the Institute are eligible for 12 times their previous month's salary
• Employees who have worked over 10 years at the Institute are eligible for 15 times their previous month's salary
