LKB48 from KMITL gets the great award of Annual Student Meeting on Automotive Embedded System : AMAS

Toyota Tsusho Nexty Electronics (Thailand), the developer of automotive control software for Toyota Thailand's leading automotive manufacturers of the nation and of the world had arranged The AMAS competition designed to increase the number of Thai personnel involving in the development of automotive control software and to transfer technology to university students.

This competition was attended by 12 student teams from various universities; Chulalongkorn University,Kasetsart University, Khonkaen University, Prince of Songkla University, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), FIBO of King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, and Thai-Japan Institute of Technology.

The concept of Annual Student Meeting on Automotive Embedded System (AMAS) concerns about development competition of embedded software for autonomous vehicle model.  

 

Students from all over the country are selected. Before the official competition, the company has organized training for all participants since last August 2017 to transfer knowledge and new technologies able to be applied for the car control software under the challenge  of the competition teams to install a self-driven car control software to be automatically driven passing the settled obstacles towards the designated point.

The result of the contest appears that the LKB48 student team from the Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang can win the first championship prize and the prize of the trip to study visit Japan’s automotive factory, Museum of Toyota, and Denso in Japan.

The AMAS Contest can offer opportunity to the teams and to spread the knowledge to Thai education sector. It can be further developed into new technology such as Autonomous Car or unmanned cars in the future. Congratulations to all the KMITL’s great students able to have won this big award.
